Keith James founded The James Group in 2003. By staying relentlessly focused on the company’s mission of helping clients craft, implement and maintain highquality employee benefit plans, Keith has grown the company into one of the largest life, health and disability insurance agencies in the Mid-South. Keith has been a licensed insurance agent for 20 years, and is currently licensed to market insurance products in 39 states and the District of Columbia.

Keith has deep experience in all aspects of benefits administration, including fully insured, self-funded and Third Party Administrator (TPA) platforms. In addition, Keith is well versed in all aspects of the Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Prior to founding The James Group, Keith had 16 years experience in the alternate site health care industry, holding senior management and partnership management roles in companies such as LeBonheur Health Systems, Baxter, American Hospital Supply and Glasrock Home Health Care.

Keith has a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina, an MBA in Finance from East Carolina University, and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Keith is active in the community, holding various leadership roles including President of Mid South Association of Health Underwriters, Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN Broker Advisory Council, Leadership Germantown graduate and Lifetime Member of the National Association of Health Underwriters Leading Producers Round Table. The Memphis Business Quarterly featured Keith as a “Power Player” in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
